General arrangement

Inside the plant

Five systems that make continuous offshore fluid management possible.

The LMP Administrative & Office Complex
01

The LMP Administrative & Office Complex

The Liquid Mud Plant features a modern, modular office complex designed to facilitate seamless communication between the technical fluids team and on-site logistics. These facilities serve as the central command for the daily management of SOBM operations, ensuring that all drilling fluid formulations meet the precise engineering standards required for Dragon Oil's wells.

High-Capacity Bulk Infrastructure
02

High-Capacity Bulk Infrastructure

A critical addition to the Hazar Harbour facility is the 440MT Barite Bulk Plant, which became operational on October 10, 2025. This plant is anchored by four 110MT (2500 cubic feet) vertical silos designed for the high-volume storage and rapid transfer of weighting agents essential for stable drilling fluid formulations.

Precision Solids Control & Active Agitation
03

Precision Solids Control & Active Agitation

To maintain the high-quality drilling fluid standards required for Dragon Oil's offshore operations, the LMP is equipped with a high-performance solids control suite. The facility features a 4-panel shale shaker designed to efficiently screen out coarse solids from returned mud, complemented by two 14" bowl centrifuges with versatile piping allowing barite recovery and solids removal.

DCB Rail & Skid — Streamlined Cuttings Logistics
04

DCB Rail & Skid — Streamlined Cuttings Logistics

The DCB (Drilled Cuttings Box) system is a cornerstone of the facility's zero-discharge and environmental management strategy. These heavy-duty, watertight containers are designed for the safe collection and transportation of solid drilling waste — such as rock fragments and used mud — from the offshore rigs back to the Hazar Harbour base for treatment.

Team Collaboration Hub & Strategic Management Office
05

Team Collaboration Hub & Strategic Management Office

The modular container design is optimized for 24/7 operations, fully supported by the plant's independent electrical grid and four synchronized gensets. This hub ensures that the professional collaboration between Dragon Oil and local partners remains seamless as the facility prepares for its upcoming 20,000 bbl capacity increase in 2026.
